![]() As I'm listening to Brian Owens song, "I Just Want to Feel Alright", I'm reminded that sadness, fear, nervousness, anxiety, and anger are alright as well. These emotions protect us, help us, inspire us, and ultimately define us as a human being. Its o.k. to "feel". Often society nowadays tells us that we should only feel happy and sadness is not normal. Remember to feel happy you often have to experience sadness; To be unafraid, you must feel fear; To feel confident you must overcome your nerves; To be calm you must know anxiety; And to feel peace you have to embrace anger. Emotions are real. You are real. The key is to listen to your emotions and know how best to maneuver through them. The more you fight yourself, the further away you will float from your true definition. It has been a process called life that has enabled me to more fully embrace every emotion and to not label any one as bad or good. It just is, simply put. Awareness of emotion is power. This power enables us to live our best, healthiest life. Listen, love, and feel. It's o.k. To YOUR health! You are not defined by a job nor are you defined by perception. Follow all your interests and detours in your path; and trust me you will come up more complete than yesterday. I had a photo shoot today for my agency. I dabble in fit/print modeling and though it is hard work and a challenge (beyond what most think), I have become more balanced because of it. I don't put myself in a box. Don't let others or yourself either. Living life and saying YES! Mind, body, and spirit. Trust the process. Love and light....to your health!
As I listen to this song by The Fray, I'm reminded that we all this ability. Whether its a simple smile, a dollar, or just the act of listening; be THERE, be PRESENT! Everything takes a moment. Everything is a choice. Be a moment for someone.
A patient at work told me today, as I passed her leaving work, "Thank you for just showing you care, it really meant a lot". I had to think about what I did, but I do believe it came down to just being PRESENT at the moment she was describing. Simple acts...the best PRESENT one can give. We are all powerful beyond belief! You might just save a life....Blessings for a beautiful evening, all of you! ![]() My way of dealing with my grief from the loss of life was to meditate, say a prayer and release a blue flower in the wind. This blue flower symbolized to me all the angelic children flying home. As I did this I saw them all laughing and playing with one another. I smiled and knew they had each other and they were safe. I went to bed peaceful as a new week begins. I wake to see this image this morning. I held the blue flower in my hands before I let it fly in the wind. Now I see a big, beautiful, blue butterfly cradled in a pair of hands. Faith is great. Believe in something. Visualization is a powerful tool. Angels are all around us and if we stop long enough to recognize the signs, we are reminded that everything will be alright. I cherish this photo as it reminds me of sweet life and the preciousness of every day. Fly, Fly Butterfly... ![]() Friendliness is a gift that keeps on giving. I saw this photo today and many great memories came flooding back. I was in my local nail salon, getting a manicure, and I happened to look up to see that I really liked the nail color of the woman's nails next to me. I asked for the color of her nails and we began a conversation about manicures. We had such a lovely time in the salon that we exchanged numbers. A couple days later, she text me asking If I was interested in coming to see her perform on Broadway. I was super excited not only to see her perform but because of the serendipity! I took my friend from work and we went to see a fabulous show on Broadway! This picture is of us backstage. Fate must exist because I ran into this same woman randomly on the subway not too long ago! People cross our paths for a reason. Just don't forget to look up and see the colors around you! Life's a great adventure. You never know where you will end up next!
