Life Study of Comprehensive Wellness
I have a passion for everything simple and natural that started at a young age. I grew up on a farm in Iowa where we raised a lot of our own food. The simplicity of nature, exercise, and clean living I learned, was a necessary combination to be the best I could be, both as an athlete and as a scholar. As an athlete I had a strong desire to optimize my body and mind, to optimize my performance. My mom provided me the tools, exposing me to energy work, massage, herbal treatments, meditation, clean eating, and various other wellness lifestyles. As a college athlete, I found it only natural to choose pharmacy as a course of study based on how I was already living. After all, pharmacy, at its core is the study of the body to understand how substances of all extremes, natural or synthetic, react in the body. And from what I already knew, the body, mind, and spirit are all connected. My professional degree enhanced my passion for living my best life and provided me the additional tools to help you live yours. After all, knowledge is power. And, as a New Yorker now for over 12 years, I truly embrace the value of balance. My life experience in New York City has further empowered me to live my passion.
I recognize the importance of a balanced approach to health and wellness based on both my professional and personal experiences. I believe in prevention and individualized treatments. I believe in personalized care. We live in an urgent care society where modern medicine is needed. Knowing there are options within healthcare for your health is the most important factor when making an informed choice. Advocating for yourself, understanding you have a choice, and listening to your body, mind, and spirit are built in tools. I only wish to inspire you to harness the power you already have.
When my mom would ask me as a young girl what I wanted to do when I grow up, I would simply say, "Help people be the best they can be ". This is still so true. Follow me as I live my passion and spread a little love, inspiration, awareness, and education. -Health is Wealth-
